Biography

Dick has extensive experience in working with closely-held family businesses in order to maximize their wealth and provide for an orderly succession of the business within the family. Estate planning is also a principal area of practice for Dick, along with asset protection and family limited partnerships. He has practiced as an attorney and CPA his whole career giving him insight into both perspectives.

A former Auburn football player, Dick is very involved with his Alma Mater and has been recognized by The School of Accountancy with the 2008 Outstanding Alumnus Award. He received the 2016 Walter Gilbert Award for Lifetime Achievement of Former Athletes, and the 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Alumni Association.

Dick is married with two children. He enjoys travel, history and sports.
