Mr. Robert Kellems, Esq.

Robert Kellems is the founder of Kellems Law, where he helps individuals, entrepreneurs, and business owners navigate legal challenges with practical guidance, strong advocacy, and personal attention. His practice focuses on criminal defense, business formation, business litigation, and business consulting, with an emphasis on building lasting relationships with clients and delivering thoughtful, results driven representation.

Robert founded Kellems Law with a simple belief: clients deserve Small Town Service. Big City Results. That means accessible communication, honest advice, and legal representation tailored to each client’s unique goals and circumstances.

Originally from a small town in Western Kentucky, Robert brings that small town mindset into his practice every day. He values relationships, hard work, and treating people the right way. Those values continue to shape how he serves clients throughout the Tampa area.

Robert graduated from Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 2022. During law school, he clerked at a small business law firm in Northern Kentucky, where he developed a passion for helping entrepreneurs and business owners turn ideas into successful companies. Working closely with business owners during that time gave him a firsthand look at the challenges of building a business and sparked his long term interest in helping clients grow and protect what they have worked hard to create.

After law school, Robert began his legal career with the Public Defender’s Office, where he handled and consulted on a wide variety of criminal matters ranging from misdemeanors to serious felony charges. That experience gave him valuable courtroom experience and reinforced his commitment to advocating for clients during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Robert later worked at Florida’s largest insurance defense firm, where he handled complex construction related matters. That experience broadened his litigation background and provided additional insight into how businesses manage risk, resolve disputes, and protect their interests. He ultimately decided to open Kellems Law in Tampa to build a practice centered on client relationships, practical solutions, and personalized legal service.

Today, Robert works with clients across every stage of business development, from individuals exploring a new business concept to startups and established companies planning for growth. He also represents clients facing criminal charges ranging from misdemeanors to complex felony and white collar matters. Whether helping a business owner plan for the future or defending someone through a criminal case, Robert approaches every matter with the same commitment to preparation, communication, and results.

Outside the office, Robert enjoys spending time with his wife, Brianna, and their dog, Forest. When he is not practicing law, you will usually find him relaxing with family and enjoying time together.
