Biography

A Judge once remarked to another attorney “Roy is not afraid of a good fight, in fact, trial is the closest thing he can find to combat without getting shot at.”  I took that Judge’s comment as a true compliment, not to myself but to my parents who taught me to work hard, never quit, and always defend those who cannot defend themselves (Semper Vallo). It is also a testament to many years spent in the Marine Corps, including multiple combat tours. Following graduation from Baylor Law and passing the Texas Bar exam in 2000, The Law Office of Roy L. Reeves was opened and I picked my first Felony Jury in the early Spring of 2001 in front of the same Judge quoted above.  In the Summer of 2002, I joined the firm of DeHay & Elliston, L.L.P. in Dallas, Texas where I began working on complex litigation cases involving, premises liability, product defects (building products and pharmaceuticals), and toxic torts and the Law Office of Roy Reeves was resurrected in 2007 as Reeves Law Firm, P.C. providing the same quality representation and litigation experience to the public in Collin, Dallas, and Denton Counties that was previously reserved for several Fortune 50 companies.

Abner McCall Inns of Court, 1999-2000.
