Biography

Ryan Schoeb is a partner in WSHB’s Florida offices and a seasoned trial lawyer with deep experience across a wide range of complex and sensitive practice areas. He represents clients in commercial litigation, securities arbitrations and investigations, professional liability, subrogation, construction, transportation, environmental, and intellectual property matters - as well as catastrophic injury, sexual assault, sexual trafficking, and wrongful death cases. When the stakes are highest, companies and insurance carriers turn to Ryan as their trusted counsel, and he leads the firm’s Florida Rapid Response team.

His practice spans business, financial, corporate, and securities disputes in state and federal courts, FINRA arbitrations, and regulatory investigations. Ryan is sought by directors and officers, legal professionals and law firms, securities brokers, insurance agents and brokers, and other financial lines professionals seeking to mitigate risk and mount strong defenses against claims of fraud, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, unsuitable recommendations, and other errors and omissions.

As a member of the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Team, Ryan provides clients with comprehensive support in privacy and cybersecurity matters, helping them minimize risk and respond quickly to crises. He manages complex litigation related to privacy and cybersecurity, and his clients benefit from his expertise in handling data breaches, pixel class actions, tech errors and omissions, and claims under major privacy laws such as the CPRA, CIPA, and VPPA. He routinely advises on data security incidents and ensures clients fulfill notification obligations while reducing reputational and financial harm. Ryan counsels companies on compliance, works with cyber insurers on subrogation recovery, and guides clients in responding to copyright infringement claims, empowering them to confidently manage new and evolving threats.

Prior to joining the firm, Ryan represented businesses involved in the entertainment industry. There, he gained experience in a variety of areas, including employment, personal injury defense, land use, and First Amendment law. Thereafter, he was an Assistant Public Defender in Pinellas County, where he litigated high-profile cases. He has also been the keynote speaker at various legal presentations, including a forum on the legalization of medical marijuana in Florida.

Ryan is a member of the First Amendment Lawyers Association. He is also licensed to practice in the Federal Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida.
