Biography

Former Assistant District Attorney and Multi-State Barred, Scott F. Lemanski began practicing law in the Corpus Christi area in 2005. Scott served as an assistant district attorney exlusively in County Court at Law No. 5, handlng all aspects of juvenile prosecutions. During his tenure with the district attorney's office, Scott handled certifications, pleas, bench trials, and jury trials, with an attention to hard work and a belief that his work was making a difference in the lives of victims, juveniles and the community. Scott is well educated in the legal requisites regarding guardianship law. All this experience has provided Scott with a firm foundation of the law regarding the proper handling of juvenile matters and a thorough understanding of the issues surrounding such matterers. Following his experience as an Assistant D.A. with the Nueces County District Attorney’s Office, he returned to private practice. Scott has worked extensively in both adult and juvenile criminal defense, with experience in both felony and misdemeanor jury trials, as well as direct appeals. He is in court almost on a daily basis, and he is, therefore, familiar with courtroom procedure from arraignment through trial. Additionally, Scott has extensive experience representing both children and respondent parents in Child Protective Services cases, from adversary hearing through trial. Scott has represented clients in both private and CPS adoption cases, and he has served as both Attorney Ad Litem and Court Master in mental commitment hearings.
