Scotty E. Chabert, Jr., a partner at Saunders & Chabert, brings a wealth of experience to his practice. With 11 years of service as an Assistant District Attorney in the 18th Judicial District, Scotty prosecuted felony crimes, including murder, rape, and burglaries under the guidance of esteemed judges such as the Honorable Richard J. Ward and Honorable Tony Clayton.Currently, Scotty's primary focus as an attorney is representing plaintiffs involved in serious injury or wrongful death matters, with a particular emphasis on maritime and industrial accidents. Born and raised in Cut Off, Louisiana, he obtained his undergraduate degree in Arts and Science from Louisiana State University. Scotty earned his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center, where he proudly served as a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association ("ATLA") Trial Team.Licensed to practice law in both Louisiana and Mississippi, Scotty is an active member of various legal associations, including the Louisiana Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Baton Rouge Bar Association, and the Mississippi State Bar.
