Biography

Spencer Newsome was raised in Salisbury, and is happy to now call Davie County home, where he resides with his wife, Cindy, and their three foster children. Spencer pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a member of its Scholars’ Program, graduating with a double-major in Economics and History. He then immediately enrolled in the School of Law at North Carolina Central University, graduating in 2015, and completing the School’s taxation law certification program.

The areas of law in which Spencer’s practice is primarily focused include estate planning, civil litigation, and appellate work. Spencer also has experience in criminal defense and family law.

Spencer is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, including its Estate Planning and Fiduciary, Taxation, and Litigation sections. Spencer serves as a Sunday School teacher in the church of which he has been a member since he was a boy, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, in Salisbury, and is also a member of its church council. Spencer has been licensed to practice in North Carolina since 2015.
