Steve Franklin, a seasoned attorney licensed in Washington,
Oregon, and Florida since the year 2000, brings a wealth of legal experience to
the forefront. A proud native of Washington State and a distinguished graduate
of Kentwood High School, Steve embarked on his legal journey after leaving the
state for college, law school, and active duty in the Navy. Holding a
bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and a law degree from the Florida
State University College of Law, Steve's commitment to service was evident as
he was commissioned as an officer in the Navy JAG Corps while still a law
student.
During his 20-year tenure in the Navy, Steve served in
various capacities, including as a prosecutor and defense attorney in criminal
cases and as the primary attorney for an overseas air base. His global service
spanned locations such as Italy, Japan, Hawaii, Alaska, Greece, and Memphis,
Tennessee. Retiring from the Navy in October 2020, Steve transitioned to
civilian life with a focus exclusively on personal injury cases.
Steve's civilian practice began in Kitsap County, but his
influence has extended across Pierce, King, Thurston, Jefferson, Mason,
Snohomish, and Grays Harbor Counties. He boasts a commendable track record of
success at trial, adeptly serving as both a plaintiff's attorney and a defense
attorney. His representation spans a spectrum of injuries, from soft tissue
damage treated with chiropractic, massage, and physical therapy to complex
orthopedic injuries involving fractures to various body parts, including legs,
shoulders, ribs, hands, wrists, and arms. Steve has also successfully handled
wrongful death cases, demonstrating his versatility in navigating the
complexities of personal injury law.
In addition to his legal practice, Steve is an active member
of the Washington State Bar Association's Character and Fitness Board and holds
an Eagle membership with the Washington State Association for Justice. His
commitment to pro bono service is reflected in his accolades, including Navy
Commendation Medals in 2010 and 2012, and a Pro Bono Service Commendation from
the Washington State Bar Association in 2009 and 2010. His professional goals
align with fighting to improve the challenging circumstances his clients face.
Beyond the legal realm, Steve indulges in his hobbies, which
