Biography

Steven L. Langer is a Partner at the Valparaiso office, bringing extensive experience practicing law since 1980. He focuses on plaintiff’s medical malpractice, personal injury, car and truck crashes, and complex litigation.

He previously held the position of President at the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA) and serves on both the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. Additionally, Mr. Langer is a former President of the College of Fellows of the ITLA and has been honored with the Consumer Advocate of the Year Award by the same association.

Attorney Langer enjoys a distinguished reputation, evidenced by his Martindale-Hubbell A.V. Preeminent rating. He has been consistently recognized for his excellence in law, having been selected as a Super Lawyer since 2008 and as a Trial Lawyer of the Year by the ITLA. His legal expertise is also recognized in the publication "The Best Lawyers in America" and he is listed among the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by the National Trial Lawyers Association.

A prolific writer, Steven has published numerous articles on medical malpractice and evidence and is a sought-after speaker on these topics.

On a personal note, Steven is happily married to his wife Diana. They have 2 adult children who are both followed in their Father’s footsteps and work with him at Langer & Langer.
