Biography

Creative problem solving, clear communication, and constructive solutions are at the heart of Steve Baggett’s practice. A skilled and persuasive litigator, Steve has successfully handled a wide range of personal injury and commercial cases over the past 25 years. His acumen in the courtroom is matched by a proactive approach designed to minimize risk so that his clients can avoid the courtroom whenever possible and instead focus on their business.

As outside counsel to numerous companies, Steve has developed and implemented creative strategies to successfully resolve scores of legal disputes. He understands how to effectively work with company representatives at all levels and provides practical advice in a way they can understand. A powerful and compelling legal writer, Steve has extensive courtroom experience that includes several commercial and personal injury trials. He has represented clients in numerous hearings, depositions, and other court and discovery procedures.

A graduate of the University of Arkansas who earned his law degree from SMU Dedman School of Law, Steve has long been active in local bar associations. He has been happily married for 18 years to beautiful wife Amy and is the proud father of Lauren and Brooke.

Steve is admitted to practice in all Texas state courts, the United States District Court for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western District of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
