Mr. Steven R. Koense

Mr. Koense is a member of the Delaware County, Chester County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, and the Doris Jonas Freed Matrimonial Inns of Court. As a member of the Family Law Section, Mr. Koense was co-chairman of the Protection From Abuse Committee for the Family Law Section of the Delaware County Bar Association (2001 to 2003); chair of the Technology Committee for the Family Law Section of the Delaware County Bar Association (2003 – 2006); Treasurer for the Family Law Section (2007-2009; 2012-present); Vice Chairperson for the Family Law Section (2010); and was the Chairperson of the Family Law Section (2011).

As a member of the Doris Jonas Freed Inn of Court, Mr. Koense served as past President of the Inn, and remains an active member of the Inn of Court, presenting on various Family Law topics to other members of the Bench and the Bar.

In addition to his commitment to the Delaware County Family Law Section and Inn of Court, Mr. Koense is also actively involved with the Women’s Resource Center in Wayne, PA providing legal advice to women in need and organizing free legal seminars on divorce practice and procedure, as well as general divorce topics.

Mr. Koense graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware in 1993. He graduated from Widener University School of Law in 1997, and was the President of the Student Bar Association from 1996 -1997.
