Biography

Born in Metairie, I lived the majority of my life in the Shreveport-Bossier area. After graduating from Loyola College Prep in 2005, I headed off to Jackson, MS to attend Millsaps College where I majored in Religious Studies, minored in Psychology, and was a Lilly Fellow. As a Lilly Fellow, I completed an externship at Mississippi Families for Kids, a fellowship at the Hinds County District Attorney's Office, and a leadership project at Matt's House Emergency Shelter for Women and Children. I graduated from Millsaps magna cum laude in 2009 and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Eager to gain the tools to make a difference, in 2009, I began law school at the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. During my law school career I completed a summer clerkship at the Office of the Louisiana Attorney General in the Criminal Appellate Division, an externship at the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney's Office in the Domestic Violence Section, and an externship at the Baton Rouge Battered Women's Program in the Legal Services Component. I also worked as a law clerk at Akers & Wisbar and participated as a Certified Student Attorney in the LSU Juvenile Defense Clinic. I graduated from law school in May of 2012, sat for the Louisiana State Bar Exam in July of 2012, and was sworn in to practice in October of 2012. I worked with Brett K. Duncan in Hammond from 2013-2016. In 2016, I opened my own private practice in Lakeview and have been there ever since. My desire is to serve the Louisiana community as an advocate for families, children, and victims of abuse. I practice family law, assisting families with divorce, custody, child support, community property partition, intrafamily adoptions, simple estate planning, protective orders, and uncontested successions. I currently reside in New Orleans with my husband and our three children, and am a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, and the Jefferson Bar Association. I am also a Notary Public, Qualified Family Law Mediator, and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst.
