Biography

Deborah Dickson Davis hails from Savannah, Georgia, making her home with her husband in Greenville, South Carolina. Ms. Davis graduated with her Bachelors in Business Administration from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia in 2002.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Davis had a 14+ year career in the business sector. Ms. Davis began in sales management with J.C. Penney in St. Louis, Missouri. Later, Ms. Davis returned to Savannah, Georgia, to assist her family's business in office management and accounting. Finally, Ms. Davis was a Branch Office Administrator for Edward Jones Investments. While in Savannah, Georgia, Ms. Davis become very involved volunteering and networking in the Greater Savannah Area.

Ms. Davis pursued her lifelong dream to become an attorney and channel her passion for helping others into a second career. She earned her Juris Doctor from Savannah Law School, a branch of Atlanta John Marshall School of Law, in 2015.

During law school, Ms. Davis was an S.B.A. Class Representative, a member of the Mock Trial team, and Project Editor for the Savannah Law Review. Additionally, Ms. Davis published her Note with Savannah Law Review: Deborah L. Dickson, Note, Don’t Bank on Marijuana—A Legitimate Industry Warranting Banking Access, 2 SAVANNAH L. REV. 2, 459-536 (2015). Also, Ms. Davis received the CALI Award for Business Organizations, the CALI Award for Trial Advocacy, Legal Writing Citator Award, and the Excellence in Pro Bono Service Award.

Ms. Davis was a non-traditional law student in the inaugural evening program with Savannah Law School, working her way throughout law school. Ms. Davis clerked for the Chatham County Superior Court of the Eastern Judicial Court in Savannah, Georgia. Then, Ms. Davis interned for Tate Law Group, LLC, the Chatham County District Attorney's Office, and the Office of the Circuit Public Defender in Savannah, Georgia.

Ms. Davis is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the Greenville County Bar Association, the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, BNI Networking Masterminds, and Toastmasters.

As an attorney, Ms. Davis brings a unique background of diverse experience to her practice of law to provide meaningful help to her clients navigating the legal system.
