Mrs. Marie Claire O'Leary Smith

Marie Claire ("MC") was born and raised just down the mountain in Chimney Rock, NC. She grew up working in her parents' business, Bubba O'Leary's General Store and Outfitters. She attended Immaculata Catholic School and then graduated from Hendersonville High School in 2012 (Go Bearcats!). MC had a successful college career at UNC Chapel Hill where she joined the Pi Beta Phi Sorority and double majored in English and Political Science with a Minor in Hispanic Studies. She had the opportunity to Study Abroad in Sevilla, Spain where she learned how to speak Spanish. For law school, MC wanted a new city, so she packed her bags and moved to Washington, DC. After three great years at American, Carolina (and her fiancé) called MC home. She began her legal career at a small firm in Wilson, NC as a criminal defense attorney. As an attorney, MC enjoys being in court as much as possible and working with clients.
