Biography

Barbara has extensive experience representing clients in wills, trusts, estate planning for estates of all sizes, probate, guardianship, and trust law. She began her legal career as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas, where she represented state agencies in federal and state court litigation, appeals, and administrative proceedings. Since entering private practice in 1983, Barbara has provided counsel on a wide range of matters, including tax planning, trusts, and issues affecting blended families, unmarried couples, special needs families, and LGBTQ families. She handles both routine and contested matters in Travis, Hays, Williamson, and surrounding counties. Her litigation experience includes will contests, will construction, disputes involving executors and trustees, and contested guardianships.

Barbara is committed to giving back to the community and regularly volunteers with organizations such as Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas, Family Eldercare, and the Women's Advocacy Project. She also serves on the President’s Council of Family Eldercare, Inc., a non-profit that provides essential services for elders, adults with disabilities, and their caregivers.
