Ms. Barbara Kibbey

As a partner at Kibbey Wagner, PLLC, attorney Barbara Kibbey Wagner represents personal injury victims and defendants who are facing state or federal criminal charges. Ms. Wagner was born and raised right here in the city of Stuart, so she feels a deep connection to the community and a passion for helping its people.

Ms. Wagner earned a Bachelors of Science degree from the prestigious University of Florida. During her time at UF, she served as the editor-in-chief for the student magazine, ICON. After graduation, Ms. Wagner enrolled at University of Miami School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctorate degree.

During her time at the University of Miami, Ms. Wagner gained valuable legal experience by interning for United States Judge Shelby Highsmith. She also served as an intern for the highly respected attorney Roy Black at Black, Srebnick, Kornspan, and Stumpf.

Later, Ms. Wagner went on to serve as the director of the Moot Court Board, which is ranked as sixth in the nation. She exercised her legal skills by participating in national competitions throughout her time in law school. Others in the legal community began to take notice of Ms. Wagner and her impressive trial skills. In fact, she even received the Honors Award, which recognizes extraordinary litigation skills.

After law school, Ms. Wagner served as a public defender in the 19th Circuit. It was here that she was exposed to a wide variety of criminal cases, including first degree felonies, juvenile offenses, and misdemeanor charges. Working as a public defender also opened her eyes to the number of defendants who are in need of a skilled criminal defense attorney. During her time as a public defender, she continued to earn praise and win awards, including the “Best Advocate” title, for her litigation skills.

Ms. Wagner has continued to impress the legal community with her legal prowess. Since she has joined the private practice of Kibbey Wagner, PLLC, Ms. Wagner has been named one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by the National Trial Lawyers Association. She was also named one of the Top 40 Lawyers Under the Age of 40 in the state of Florida.
