Biography

Ms. Handsel began practicing law in 2024. She graduated from the College of Charleston in 2012 where she double majored, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. After college she gained experience working in the hospitality industry, first at a five-star five-diamond resort and later managing a boutique inn in Charleston, South Carolina.

In 2017 she moved to the Baltimore area with the goal of attending law school. Her first job in Maryland introduced her to the payroll industry, which began her matriculation in law. Throughout law school Brittany worked in the human resources department of Allianz Trade processing payroll, HR reporting, and later interning with the legal department before moving to the compliance team. Brittany graduated with honors from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2023 where she earned her Juris Doctor degree. She currently practices insurance defense, personal injury law and is increasing her experience in business law
