Biography

Carolyn Calder is a civil litigation attorney based in the firm’s Raleigh office. She earned her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she served as the Executive Editor of the First Amendment Law Review, a student attorney for the Civil Legal Assistance Clinic, and as a member of the Broun National Trial Team. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Government from the College of William & Mary, magna cum laude, in Williamsburg, Virginia.

After leaving Williamsburg, Carolyn worked for about four years in the federal government sector, including on two political campaigns and as a staffer in the U.S. House of Representatives for North Carolina’s 6th Congressional District, before returning to her home state to attend law school.

In her spare time, Carolyn loves riding bikes with her husband, Richie, going on walks with their dog, Cooper, and cheering on the Tarheels.
