Ms. Cindy Ellis: Attorney with Martin, Van Hoy & Raisbeck, LLP

Biography

A Davie County native, Cindy Ellis has never desired to stray far from home. She attended Catawba College in Salisbury and later received her Juris Doctor from Charlotte School of Law. Cindy has extensive experience in a variety of areas of law. Most notably, she is the only attorney in the county that serves as a capital defender. Cindy is also the juvenile defender for all children facing charges of delinquency in Davie County. For any criminal issue you or your loved ones may be facing, Cindy is equipped to offer her experience, expertise and support.

In addition to criminal law, Cindy’s practice also focuses on matters related to family law. Cindy represents parents in abuse and neglect cases in court involving the Department of Social Services (DSS) and general custody disputes as well. For custody, child support, or governmental involvement in your family, Cindy will zealously advocate on your behalf.

Cindy truly loves the law and being in a courtroom. Cindy met her husband, also an attorney, in a courtroom. Soon after they met, they became law partners, then life partners. They live in Advance and are foster parents to (currently) three beautiful children. Both she and her husband are active in their church, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Salisbury.
