Dorothy Frances Easley is an accomplished federal appeals attorney and nationally recognized author of the influential guide, "Successful Federal Appeals in All Circuit Courts: A Practical Guide for Busy Lawyers." Her background instilled a strong work ethic and perseverance, having grown up on a farm, operated tractors, and worked on a forestry logging crew in North Carolina. Dorothy earned her Master of Science, summa cum laude, in forest genetics from SUNY/ESF, working initially as a Research Fellow and then as a Research Forest Geneticist in Latin America. She graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami, serving as Executive Editor of the Inter-American Law Review. Her legal career features a rich tapestry of roles, from university law professor to board-certified appellate specialist and former "biglaw" partner, elevating her to a leadership position in the appellate field. Dorothy has chaired the Florida Appellate Practice Section and served as Vice Chair of the Appellate Court Rules Committee. As founder and leader of her firm, she meticulously supervises her appellate team, ensuring comprehensive and effective advocacy.
