Emily's professional journey began in education, where she worked as a teacher, positively impacting the lives of students in junior high and elementary school. Balancing her teaching career with her pursuit of legal education, she attended Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (now Texas A&M) in the evenings, earning her JD in 2008. During law school, Emily distinguished herself as a member of the Wesleyan Law Review and received multiple scholarships. Despite the demands of working full-time as an educator, she graduated fifth in her class.

Following her transition into the legal profession, Emily initially practiced real estate law before finding her true calling in family law. Known for her ability to think creatively and tackle complex legal issues, she brings a fresh perspective to each case.
