Jane R. Duket is an associate attorney with Marasco & Nesselbush, LLP. Since joining Marasco & Nesselbush, Attorney Duket has devoted her legal career to representing medical malpractice victims, personal injury clients, and Social Security Disability claimants.

As a dedicated advocate for the rights of the injured and disabled, Attorney Duket works with her clients to achieve the best outcome for her clients and their families.

“Most people don’t ever think about needing a lawyer unless something bad happens,” Duket says. “Specifically in our line of work, clients are calling when they are vulnerable, injured, frustrated, and overwhelmed. We assist them step by step during this vulnerable time, advocating for their needs and making sure that in the end, we succeed in achieving the best possible resolution for them given their situation.”

She said what distinguishes Marasco & Nesselbush from other firms is the high expectation of client-oriented service including availability to clients.

Before going to law school, Attorney Duket, a native of Newton, Massachusetts, worked as a child advocate in the Boston area, and in the field of community development and outreach in Chicago. It was during this period of her life that she realized how many people are unable to advocate for themselves and their families.

“I wanted to take my ability to advocate one step further and get my law degree,” she says.

Attorney Duket received her undergraduate degree from Boston College in 2004 and graduated cum laude from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2010. She is admitted the practice of law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

She is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, Rhode Island Association for Justice, Women’s Bar Association, and National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives.

She enjoys spending her free time by the water with her family on Cape Cod, sharing a good meal with friends, watching football and taking walks with her dog Barney.
