Biography

Katherine was born and raised in Rocky Mount; however, she spent the first portion of her legal career practicing in High Point with Schoch and Schoch. She joined the firm in 2000 and became a partner in 2003. Katherine’s practice is in the area of civil litigation with primary focus in the area of family law. She has been active with the Council of the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association since 2004 where she currently serves as a council member and as Vice Chair of the Section for the 2013-2014 year. Along with being active in the legal community, Katherine is active in the Rocky Mount/Nash County community. She is a lifetime member and current deacon of First Presbyterian Church in Rocky Mount, a current board member with Meals on Wheels, and a current member of the Board of Trustees of Nash Community College.

When Katherine is not at work at the office or in the community, she enjoys running, reading a good book, and most importantly, spending time with her husband, Mike, and her twins, Walt and Ann Cleveland.
