Biography

Loriellen Robertson, a native of Miami, Florida, has a longstanding connection to the Florida Keys, having vacationed there throughout her life before relocating to the lower Keys in 2005. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida in 2001 and pursued her legal education at the University of Miami School of Law. During law school, she focused on litigation, clerked for a criminal county court judge in Miami-Dade County, studied abroad in Spain, and interned with the Broward County Public Defender’s Office.

After law school, Loriellen moved to Key West and began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney, handling juvenile and misdemeanor cases for the Monroe County State Attorney’s Office. In 2007, she transitioned to the Office of the Public Defender as a felony attorney. Since 2011, she has been in private practice, focusing on criminal defense and family law. In 2012, she co-founded The Law Office of Robertson & Hunter. Loriellen represents Monroe County as a chapter representative for the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and actively participates in its board meetings and conferences.
