Maria Pitelis is a trusted, results-driven family law attorney with over 20 years of experience helping Florida families navigate divorce, custody, and other sensitive legal matters. She provides strategic advocacy with a compassionate approach to protect her clients’ interests and achieve practical solutions.

Maria moved to Pinellas County, Florida in 1991 and developed a passion for law at an early age, interning as a teenager at the Pinellas County State Attorney’s Office and the Law Firm of Yanchuck, Berman, and Kasaris. She earned both her undergraduate degree in political science and her law degree from Stetson University, gaining hands-on experience through internships and leadership roles in the mock senate.

At Pitelis Family Law, P.A., Maria provides personalized guidance and strong representation in divorce, custody, child support, alimony, property division, relocation, domestic violence injunctions, and adoption. As a certified Florida mediator, she helps families achieve fair resolutions while ensuring clients are fully protected in court.

Outside the office, Maria enjoys running, yoga, and attending comic-book conventions with her husband, Tom, and their three children.
