Biography

Ms. Mapes practices in the areas of ad valorem, employment, and commercial litigation. Her employment and commercial litigation practice primarily focuses on defending corporate clients in state and federal courts as well as before various government agencies. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2001 and her law degree from Southern Methodist University in 2005, where she was a member of the Board of Advocates and represented the university in the 2004 National Environmental Moot Court Competition. While in law school, Ms. Mapes also served as a law clerk for Judge Ann Ashby of the 134th District Court in Dallas County. She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas in 2006 and is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. Ms. Mapes resides in Dallas with her husband, Justin, and their two children.
