Biography

Raised in Dallas, Texas, Ms. Tong graduated from Southern Methodist University in December of 2004 with a bachelor of arts in English. In the spring of 2008, Ms. Tong received her juris doctor degree, cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Tong participated in The William E. Collins Clerkship Program, serving as a clerk for Chief Justice Wallace B. Jefferson. She also interned for U.S. District Court Judge Barbara Lynn and served as a staff editor for the SMU Law Review. Ms. Tong is the author of "Fourth Amendment ¿ The Ninth Circuit Court Allows the Government to Read International Airmail Absent a Warrant: United States v. Seljan," 73 Journal of Air Law & Commerce, 121 (2008). Ms. Tong is admitted to practice in Texas.
