Biography

In my years as a Van Nuys disability attorney, I have represented thousands of Social Security disability claimants. I appreciate that my clients are real people who have serious disabilities. To help them stay in their homes, or find a home after years of being homeless doesn’t seem like work to me. It is very rewarding.

I received my law degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center. I also have a master’s degree in clinical psychology and a bachelor’s degree in microbiology.

I am a member of the Board of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR), an organization of attorneys and paralegals that is committed to providing high quality representation for disability claimants. I am also on the Boards of Directors of the San Fernando Community Mental Health Services and Neighborhood Legal Services. I am a past president of the San Fernando Bar Association.

I have served on the Los Angeles County Bar Association Board of Trustees and I am a member of its Social Security section executive committee. I am a past chair of the Executive Committee of the Solo and Small Firm Section of the State Bar of California.

I frequently lecture for the State Bar, the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives, and other bar associations.

I have received a number of awards including: The Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Hon. Benjamin Aranda III Outstanding Public Service Award; the Myer Sankary Lawyer of the Year Award; the American Bar Association’s Difference Makers Award for Pro Bono Service; and NOSSCR’s Annual Pro Bono Award.

In addition to Social Security disability claims, I handle Medicare claims, Medi-Cal claims, litigation involving disability insurance policies, Veteran’s benefits, and California State disability and unemployment benefits.

Please contact me if I can help you with your Social Security disability claim.

Patricia is top notch. I knew from the first conversation over the phone with her I had the right lawyer. She was the only one who would take my case after calling many others. I’m under 40 and h...
