Biography

Nancy Kaplan is an associate principal in the firm’s Chicago office. Ms. Kaplan is an experienced trial lawyer, focusing on collections cases in senior living and overall health care settings. Drawing on her experience as a State’s Attorney, and a workman’s compensation lawyer prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kaplan brings valuable perspective to serving senior living and health care facilities. She offers clients solutions to dealing with residents and their families, helping with collections for the senior homes, and helping to avoid litigation.

Ms. Kaplan earned her undergraduate degree at Sophie Newcomb College of Tulane University where she was a member of Kappa Delta Pi, an education honor society. She earned her J.D. from Kent University College of Law. During her time there, she had an internship with Judge Abraham Lincoln Marovitz of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Additionally, she had a research fellowship with the Illinois Bar Foundation with Judge Shelvin Singer.

Ms. Kaplan gives back to the community through her pro bono work with the Highland Park Legal Aid Clinic.
