Natalie Weatherford: Attorney with Taylor & Ring

Biography

A senior partner at Taylor & Ring, Natalie is an experienced trial lawyer in California with a specialization in sexual harassment and misconduct cases. She joined Taylor & Ring after earning her J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law where she was a Dean’s Merit Scholar and served as Chair of the Negotiation Honors Program.

Natalie was named California Lawyer of the Year for Sex Abuse by the Daily Journal in 2025 and the CAALA Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2024, both of which reflect her leadership and advocacy skills in sexual abuse litigation.

Among her most significant cases, Natalie obtained a $102.5 million verdict in 2022 against the Los Angeles Unified School District on behalf of two survivors of sexual abuse. The case was recognized as the fifth-largest verdict in California that year. Natalie has also helped shape the legal landscape of California with a case that played a key role in the legislative effort that led to the enactment of Civil Code Section 1708.5.5 and Evidence Code Section 1106(c), which strengthened evidentiary protections for survivors of sexual misconduct. More recently, Natalie served as trial counsel in high-profile bellwether litigation against Uber that tested key liability and admissibility issues in a sexual assault lawsuit.

Natalie has consistently received distinctions from Lawdragon, Daily Journal, Best Lawyers, Law360, LA Times B2B Publishing, and SuperLawyers, including a magazine cover feature in Southern California Rising Stars SuperLawyers.

She frequently contributes to the profession through service on the Board of Governors for the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), participation in Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), American Association for Justice (AAJ), and the American Bar Association (ABA). She is also a published author in Advocate, a leading magazine for plaintiff trial attorneys.

She is a member of the State Bar of California.
