Biography

Nathan Colburn has been a trial lawyer since he began practicing law in 2009. He built his private practice from the ground up focusing primarily on criminal defense in the first several years. He then specialized in complex civil litigation ranging from contract and business disputes to personal injury and wrongful death claims. He also handled all business agreements, probate matters, criminal defense and family law issues until joining the firm in 2026. He loves jury trials and helping those in need.

Nathan is a graduate of University of Kentucky where he received Bachelor of Arts in Theater and graduated Magnu Cum Laude. He attended law school at the Appalachian School of Law where he was on the Natural Resource Law Review and National Moot Court teams. Nathan currently sits on the boards of several local non-profit organizations.

Nathan enjoys spending time with family, working on his family farm, playing music and indulging in life’s pleasantries when the opportunities arise.
