Biography

Nick Beekhuizen is a litigation associate in Greenberg Traurig’s West Palm Beach office.

Nick concentrates his practice in the area of complex commercial litigation and arbitration. He has experience representing high-net-worth individuals, venture capital firms, corporations, and other businesses in matters related to complex commercial disputes. With a robust background in both federal and state courts, as well as administrative agencies, Nick handles a wide range of matters.

Alongside his commitment to professional practice, he maintains active involvement in public service and pro bono work through notable contributions to The Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program and Florida’s Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office.

Reynolds and other tobacco company signatories seek a reduction of hundreds of millions of dollars in their settlement payments.; Assisted in representation of a high-net-worth individual and venture capital firm in federal court, involving claims and counterclaims for breach of contract and fiduciary duty, conversion, and fraud.; Defended corporate client at trial for claims under the Deceptive Trade Practices Act and won on oral motion to dismiss as a matter of law.; Successfully argued motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction under Florida corporate shield doctrine.; Assisted in defending a client in an administrative proceeding involving claims under the Fair Housing Act.; Represented a licensed professional before the state regulatory board, allowing the client to maintain its license and practice.; Pro Bono: Represented veterans before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.; Represented children on appeal as co-Guardian ad Litem with Florida's Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office.; Assisted a disabled veteran in resolving disputes with usurious creditors.; The above representations were handled by Mr. Beekhuizen prior to his joining Greenberg Traurig, P.A.
