Biography

Nicholas Sciarrino has been an active trial attorney in the New York metropolitan area for over 35 years, specializing in the defense of cases in the areas of general liability, construction/labor law, products liability and medical malpractice.

Nick was a named partner in the Law Firm of Patterson & Sciarrino, LLP, where he focused evaluating and trying the firm’s high exposure cases. He has tried over 200 cases to verdict, achieving a strong track record of defense verdicts in significant matters.

Nick began his career as a member of the trail practice group in a national law firm, handling premises, labor law and vehicular negligence cases. In recent years, he has also provided trial monitoring services for a medical malpractice insurance carrier. Additionally, Nick served on the claims committee for a prominent insurance carrier, with a particular emphasis on case valuation.

Nick is a graduate of Emory University and Loyola Law School. In his younger years, Nick worked on union jobs in the construction industry which provides him with a unique perspective in the defense of labor law cases.

A thoroughly seasoned trail attorney, Nick honed his skills during a time when many cases were tried to verdict. While he continues to excel in negotiation and mediation strategies, he remains ready to bring cases to trial and take jury verdicts when necessary.

Nick is admitted to the New York State Bar as well as the Federal District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is also admitted to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
