Biography

Nick was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was raised about 20 minutes away from the city in Moorestown, New Jersey. In 2010, Nick’s parents decided to move to a beach town in Northeast Florida, and Nick immediately fell in love with the Sunshine State and the endless possibilities it has to offer.

During law school, Nick gained invaluable litigation experience as a certified student-attorney for the South Carolina Juvenile Justice Clinic. He also interned at a Fortune 500 company, a personal injury law firm, and the South Carolina Office of the Attorney General.

Prior to Spetsas Buist, Nick gained litigation and trial experience working for the largest insurance defense firm in Florida and, subsequently, a prominent national law firm, where he represented companies and their insurance carriers in complex civil litigation matters, including personal and catastrophic injury, premises liability, product liability, wrongful death, automobile, and trucking liability, and negligent security. Nick uses his litigation and trial experience to aggressively pursue claims on behalf of clients injured by the negligence of others. Because of the knowledge Nick gained from defending corporations and their insurance carriers, he understands their negotiation tactics and trial techniques. Now, Nick uses this knowledge against companies and their insurance carriers to maximize the value of his clients’ cases and to bring justice to his clients. Nick believes in aggressive representation and understands that communication is crucial to client satisfaction. He devotes himself to treating his clients like family.

Nick began competitively swimming for the first time as freshman in high school. By senior year of high school, Nick was recruited by numerous colleges, including NCAA Division I, II, and III swimming programs. Ultimately, Nick decided to join Loyola University Maryland’s NCAA Division I program, where he specialized in sprint freestyle, including the 50-yard and 100-yard events. In 2009, as a college freshman, Nick placed top 10 in the Patriot League Conference Championship in both events, qualifying him for ECAC Championships at Harvard University. At Loyola University Maryland, Nick had the privilege of being trained by Michael Phelps and his coach, Bob Bowman.
