Biography

After a decade of government service and private practice, Nicole brings her experience and passion for helping others to the Morgan & Morgan team. She began her legal career as an assistant public defender in Miami-Dade County where she handled hundreds of criminal cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious punishable-by-life felonies. Her zealous advocacy resulted in beneficial results for her clients, up to and including acquittals through trial.

In her years of private practice, Nicole represented homeowners against insurance companies, handled family law disputes, and continued her criminal defense work. This was alongside a robust volunteer career monitoring and responding to local and statewide government intrusion on civil liberties through direct action, educational programs, and local outreach. She has served as a CJE and CLE instructor on issues relating to collateral consequences of criminal convictions in the State of Florida.

Nicole obtained her B.A. in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida in 2010, and in 2014 she earned her Juris Doctorate from Florida International University College of Law. She speaks fluent Portuguese and Spanish.
