Nikki Chapa

Nikki Chapa is a Lead Litigation Attorney at Smith & Bledsoe Family Law and a proud Austinite with deep roots in Central Texas. She handles complex family law disputes, representing clients in contested divorces, custody and visitation cases, property division, and enforcement actions. Known for her confident courtroom presence and direct communication style, Nikki helps clients navigate emotionally difficult situations with clear guidance and steady advocacy. Her commitment to this work began in law school, where she found her passion for helping others through an immigration clinic and other pro bono efforts. That experience still shapes how she practices today, she gives straightforward advice, fights hard for her clients, and makes sure they feel supported at every step. Nikki earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Catawba College, then went on to receive both her Juris Doctor and MBA from St. Mary’s University School of Law. She brings a balanced approach, firm and strategic in litigation, while remaining compassionate and practical about long-term outcomes for families. Outside the office, Nikki enjoys trying new hobbies, spending time with family and pets, and exploring Austin’s food scene.
