Biography

Nixon Alcantara was born and raised in Miami, Florida to a Dominican Father and German Mother. He attended high school and college in Miami. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Florida International University in Criminal Justice. After he graduated Nixon decided to take some time and give back. He spent a year in Barranquilla, Colombia with the Heart for Change program assisting Public School English Teachers.

When he came back, Nixon attended Barry University School of Law for his 1L year where he was part of the Top Five Percent of his class. During his time there he received the Book Award in his class for both Contracts and Legal Studies. He then transferred to Florida International University College of Law where he graduated Cum Laude and was named to the Dean’s List.

Since joining the firm, Nixon has specialized in first-party property and windstorm defense. In 2024, he was selected to the SuperLawyers© Rising Stars list for his exceptional work in Insurance Coverage.

He has handled many cases to a successful conclusion. Nixon is determined to give his clients the best legal service through applying the dedication and commitment he has used throughout his life to

overcome all the hurdles life has put in his path. When he isn’t working Nixon is an avid windsurfer who enjoys the oceans, wind, and waves.
