Patrick "Graham" Graham Maiden: Attorney with Motley Rice LLC

Biography

Graham Maiden’s diverse practice crosses over many of the firm’s litigation areas including mass torts, products liability, media and tech, consumer privacy, and personal injury.

Graham’s advocacy for consumers’ rights, health, and privacy in the tech industry includes serving on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in In re: Consumer Vehicle Driving Data Tracking Collection Case, specifically in regards to General Motors/OnStar’s role. This litigation is on behalf of drivers whose data was allegedly obtained and sold to insurance companies without their consent, impacting their insurance premiums. He also represents individuals and public-school districts in MDL No. 3047 In re: Social Media Adolescent Addiction/Personal Injury Products Liability Litigation, alleging social media companies marketed addictive, defective platforms to children, causing a mental health crisis.

Additionally, Graham represents clients harmed by toxic exposure in both consumer and occupational settings. He is involved in litigation for women who developed reproductive cancers after using certain chemical hair relaxer products, MDL 3060 In re: Hair Relaxer Marketing Sales Practices and Products Liability Litigation. His work also expands to helping workers and families suffering from mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases as well as injured factory workers suffering from “popcorn lung” and other ailments caused by toxic flavoring chemicals.

Historically, Graham has supported victims of sexual abuse, terror victims, and people injured in catastrophic events. Graham represented clients in the Boy Scouts of America bankruptcy settlement plan as well as clients assaulted at schools or by individual offenders. He was also heavily involved in the historic litigation Linde v. Arab Bank - marking the first time a financial institution was brought to trial under the Anti-Terrorism Act. This work included the parallel suit for non-U.S. citizens, Jesner v. Arab Bank, which was heard by the U.S. Supreme Court under the Alien Tort Statute.

While completing his legal studies, Graham worked as a law clerk with Motley Rice. He also played baseball for the College of Charleston and proudly represented his school as a member of the All-Southern Conference Team in 2007.
