Biography

Patrick Cimmarusti is an experienced litigator who clients trust to handle their most difficult and complex cases. He has represented some of America's largest insurance companies, retailers, product manufacturers, hotels, and restaurants.

Mr. Cimmarusti graduated from the University of San Diego in 1999 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Business Administration. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Pepperdine School of Law in 2002.

While earning his degrees, Mr. Cimmarusti held an internship with the House of Representatives, in the office of Congressman Elton Gallegy, and an externship in the chambers of the Honorable Dickran Tevrizian, in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

Mr. Cimmarusti has had success as both lead and second chair trial counsel in more than 10 cases. His appellate experience includes successfully upholding a lower court ruling in favor of the sudden illness defense in the case of Apostolova v. Kanter. He obtained published decisions in Rebecca Osborne v. Todd Farm Service, et al., which upheld the gravity of terminating sanctions and a dismissal with prejudice, and more recently, in Khosh, Al v. Staples Construction Company, which is the leading case in the line of Privette Doctrine in the State of California.

Mr. Cimmarusti is admitted to practice in the state of California, and is also admitted before the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Central and Southern Districts of California. He is a member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel and the Southern California Restaurant Association.

Mr. Cimmarusti's practice areas include products liability, employment law, general liability, personal injury (including wrongful death and other catastrophic injury), bad faith, discrimination, railroad accident litigation, FELA matters, and real estate disputes and transactions. Mr. Cimmarusti is also a licensed real estate broker.
