Biography

Patrick J. Hughes (“Pat”) is a lead attorney at Patriots Law Group, recognized for his comprehensive experience in federal employment law, security clearance matters, military administrative law, and military pay cases. Admitted to the New York State Bar and a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force Reserve, Pat began his distinguished legal career as a JAG officer, developing deep knowledge of military and federal employment law. His extensive experience includes representing clients in federal courts and before administrative bodies such as the EEOC and MSPB. Pat is dedicated to defending the rights of military personnel and federal employees, offering guidance on employment disputes, disciplinary actions, and complex security clearance issues. One of his notable successes involved securing a multimillion-dollar recovery for over 40 Army reservists denied Basic Allowance for Housing, as well as correcting adverse career impacts tied to the dispute. Before co-founding Patriots Law Group in 2017, Pat earned top rankings as an Area Defense Counsel and as a JAG officer within the Air Force Legal Operations Agency. Pat remains committed to ensuring service members and federal employees receive the representation and advocacy they deserve.
