Biography

Patrick Delaney has a diverse practice focused on product liability, warranty and Lemon Law, casualty litigation and government and administrative litigation. He represents automotive, electric vehicle motorcycle and consumer product manufacturers in all phases of litigation against negligence and strict liability claims based upon alleged product defects. He also represents manufacturers in breach of warranty claims involving Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and Florida Lemon Law including arbitration before the Florida New Motor Vehicle Arbitration Board and in lawsuits throughout Florida and the Southeastern United States. In addition, he represents clients in casualty litigation defending against premises liability claims and negligent security actions. Patrick also represents governmental entities in constitutional challenges, criminal litigation and environmental matters.

Prior to joining RumbergerKirk, Patrick served as both an Assistant Public Defender and an Assistant Attorney General. He successfully argued cases at every level of the Florida courts including has 11 Oral Arguments before the Florida Supreme Court. Prior to attending law school, Patrick worked on Capitol Hill as a legislative staff member to United States Senator George V. Voinovich.

Patrick is a champion of ensuring professionalism thrives in the legal community. He has been an active member of the Orange County Bar Association’s Professionalism Committee since 2016 and also has served on the Ninth Judicial Circuit Professionalism Panel, which is a non-disciplinary board that receives, screens, and acts upon complaints of unprofessional conduct.
