Patrick S. Preller

Patrick S. Preller, has over 20 years of litigation experience in federal and state courts throughout Maryland. Mr. Preller is recognized as one of the most able trial lawyers in Maryland and has an extraordinary record of success.

In 1998, Mr. Preller graduated with honors from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he served as an associate editor on the Law Review. Following graduation, Mr. Preller clerked for the Honorable Maurice W. Baldwin on the Circuit Court of Maryland for Harford County. He then accepted an appointment as an assistant state’s attorney in Baltimore City, where he prosecuted thousands of felony narcotic, general felony, misdemeanor and juvenile cases.

His principal areas of practice include complex civil (personal injury, medical malpractice and employment discrimination) as well as criminal litigation and appeals. As a prosecutor and in private practice, Mr. Preller has tried hundreds of criminal and civil cases. Since entering private practice in 2004, he has never lost a criminal jury trial.

Mr. Preller also teaches Fourth Amendment and criminal procedure as an adjunct professor at the University of Baltimore.
