Biography

Patrick T. Canan is an accomplished personal injury and civil litigation lawyer, as well as the founder and managing partner at Canan Law in St. Augustine, Florida. Patrick devotes his practice to fighting for the rights of auto accident victims, as well as those affected by medical malpractice and serious personal injuries. He is also a Certified Court Mediator for the Florida Supreme Court, a legal specialty he has held since 2002.

Prior to founding Canan Law, Patrick served as the chief prosecutor of St. Johns County, as well as an assistant public defender in Alachua and Monroe Counties and an assistant state attorney/division chief in St. Johns County. He now uses this experience to aggressively advocate for the rights of his clients. For his work, Patrick has earned an AV® Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell® and was named “Best Attorney” by Best of St. Augustine on multiple occasions, among other honors and accolades.
