Biography

Attorney Murray is one of the founding partners of the law firm of Stewart, Murray & Associates Law Group, LLC. He received his B.A. in 2000 from Point Park University and his J.D. in 2003 from Duquesne University. While attending Duquesne University School of Law, he served as Associate Comment Editor of the Law Review and represented the University in trial and A.D.R. competitions. Also while attending Duquesne University School of Law, Mr. Murray worked for Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. and continued to work with the firm after receiving his degree. In 2006, Attorney Murray joined Klett, Rooney, Lieber and Schorling, P.C. before that firm merged to form Buchanan, Ingersoll & Rooney, P.C.   Attorney Murray initially concentrated his practice in the area of civil litigation defense for transportation companies which included major trucking and railroad companies. Mr. Murray expanded his practice to include a variety of areas within civil defense including, but not limited to: civil rights, premises liability, general motor vehicle liability, employment law, family law, workers’ compensation, real estate disputes and transacions, and medical and nursing home litigation.   Attorney Murray has been a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and American Bar Association. He has been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals, United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. In addition to Pennsylvania, Attorney Murray has also practiced law in Ohio. Attorney Murray has successfully assisted his clients in the negotiation of settlements in cases involving millions of dollars in dispute, has secured dismissals for a number of clients and represented clients in appellate matters arguing before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.   Representing injured people, Mr. Murray has secured favorable jury and non-jury verdicts on behalf of clients to compensate them for their injuries and out of pocket expenses. Additionally, Mr. Murray has successfully assisted his clients in the negotiation of settlements in cases involving severe and catastrophic injuries. However, Mr. Murray’s experience goes beyond representation of injured people and also includes representation of Estates in Wrongful Death and Survival actions. Beyond his civil litigation accomplishments, attorney Murray has represented clients through child custody disputes and has even been successful in assisting non-parental clients and fathers obtain primary custody.   Attorney Murray is also an adjunct professor at Duquesne University School of Law, is Blackboard Certified and has been involved with teaching at several local universities.
