Mr. Gibson practices civil litigation, emphasizing employment and commercial disputes, construction, insurance and personal injury litigation. His litigation practice has included representation of employers in discrimination disputes, insurers, self-insured and municipalities in personal injury and civil rights claims, contractors and clients in construction disputes, and corporate clients in various litigation including disputes related to enterprise resource software.
Mr. Gibson consults with employers in employment litigation risk management, workplace policies and procedures, and compliance with federal and state labor and employment statutes. He frequently consults with employers regarding contracting, risk avoidance and mitigation, complaint investigation and conciliation. In addition, Mr. Gibson has represented corporate clients through merger and acquisition transactions.
Mr. Gibson was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and is licensed to practice in the states of Texas and Louisiana. He is a 1984 graduate of the Loyola University School of Law, and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, and The American Association of Hospital Attorneys.
With a special interest in employment discrimination issues, Mr. Gibson is a frequent lecturer and consultant on strategies for employment litigation avoidance, in-house management training, and employee discipline
