Paul Showalter launched Showalter Law in 2022 with a clear-cut mission: to provide the kind of fearless, principled defense that people actually need when their future is on the line. Since the very beginning of his career, Paul has chosen to focus exclusively on criminal law, believing that true proficiency comes from living and breathing the courtroom environment every single day. He isn’t the type of lawyer who just reads about the law in textbooks; he has built his reputation where it matters most—in front of judges and juries. After graduating from Purdue and earning his law degree in 2012, Paul cut his teeth working alongside Bob Dillinger, the longtime Public Defender for Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit. That was a high-pressure environment where he handled everything from minor misdemeanors to heavy felonies, advocating for people with a mix of grit and genuine compassion. This early trial-by-fire gave him a level of courtroom exposure that many attorneys never see in a lifetime. Today, he continues to take cases to jury verdicts as a prepared and highly persuasive advocate. Even in private practice, he remains committed to the community by accepting conflict cases for the Public Defender’s Office. Licensed in all Florida state courts and federal courts like the Middle District and the Eleventh Circuit, Paul is a mainstay in the Pinellas County Trial Lawyers Association. When he isn’t fighting for his clients, he is a devoted husband, father, and dog dad who stays active in his local church and community.
