Biography

Paul Siegferth, born and raised in Akron, Ohio, earned his law degree from the University of Akron School of Law in 2020. While in law school, he volunteered at Akron Law’s expungement clinic, assisting individuals in clearing their criminal records, and regularly served at the Peter Maurin Center Food Pantry, supporting Akron’s unhoused population. Paul's legal practice focuses on criminal defense.

His academic background includes an Associate degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor's in Political Science, both from the University of Akron. Paul also served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve for six years, including activation during Operation Desert Storm. Before practicing law, he spent 27 years with the Akron Police Department, working in the Detective Bureau, U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force, and Uniform Patrol Division. A dedicated member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Paul received several notable awards, including the Russ Long Officer of the Year in 1999 and the U.S. Marshal’s Service Task Force Officer of the Year in 2006. Outside of his career, Paul has completed multiple marathons, ultramarathons, and triathlons.
