Paul T. Belazis

Paul is a Toledo, Ohio lawyer who concentrates his practice on civil litigation. A native of Columbus, Ohio, Paul received a bachelor’s degree from Denison University in Granville, Ohio before attending the University of Toledo College of Law. His diverse career as a lawyer over the course of 40 years has focused on insurance coverage disputes, business litigation, employment litigation, personal injury and wrongful death cases, and civil rights litigation. Paul has represented individuals and businesses in a wide variety of legal matters. He has litigated cases in state and federal courts in Ohio, Michigan, and New York. He was also appointed by the United States District Court in Texas to help oversee reform of unconstitutional conditions in the Texas state prisons and by the Wayne County Circuit Court to oversee reform of conditions in the Wayne County Jail in Detroit, Michigan. Paul has been consistently listed in U.S News- Best Lawyers and recognized three times as “Lawyer of the Year” for his representation of individuals in employment matters. In 2011, Paul received the Public Interest Law Award, jointly awarded by the Toledo Bar Association and Legal Aid Society, in recognition of extraordinary service representing underserved and disadvantaged persons.
