Biography

Ms. Maynes received her B.A. from St. Johns College in Santa Fe in 1979. She was admitted to the State Bar of New Mexico in 1984, after graduating from UNM School of Law. Ms. Maynes served as an Assistant Attorney General from 1984 through 1987 in the Civil Division, representing state agencies responsible for administration of labor and employment statutes, including the New Mexico Human Rights Commission, the State Personnel Board, the State Labor Commissioner, and the Governor’s Committee on the Concerns of the Handicapped. Ms. Maynes entered private practice at Montgomery & Andrews, P.A. in Santa Fe in 1987, where she became a shareholder with a practice focused in management side employment law. In 1998, Ms. Maynes joined the Santa Fe office of Miller Stratvert specializing in employment law, both advising and representing private and governmental employers in Santa Fe and northern New Mexico. Ms. Maynes has first chaired state jury trials involving employment defense. Ms. Maynes is a director based in the Santa Fe office. She is listed in Best Lawyers for employment law and litigation.
