Peter Alan Stroili

Peter Stroili focuses on the defense of large, complex commercial cases, including the arbitration and litigation defense of insurance coverage matters, the defense of officers and directors, reinsurance, professional liability defense and securities litigation matters. He has defended some of the most prominent law firms in New York, as well as officers and directors of corporations in class-actions. Many of the matters in which he has been involved have been high-profile and encompassed a wide-range of subjects, including actions involving the valuation of art work in the estate of Louise Nevelson, the theft of a masterpiece painting from a Florence estate and several actions involving insured tax strategies. He has engaged in extensive appellate practice, including arguing appeals before the New York Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second and Ninth Circuit Courts.
